Former cryptocurrency YouTuber Ben Armstrong, better known as 'Bitboy,' was arrested Tuesday night in Volusia County, Florida on a fugitive warrant. According to jail records, Armstrong is being held without bail.

The arrest appears connected to threatening emails Armstrong allegedly sent to Judge Kimberly Childs while representing himself in court. Prior to his arrest, Armstrong had acknowledged the existence of warrants on social media platform X, directly referencing emails sent to Judge Childs of Cobb County.

Video footage circulating on social media showed someone claimed to be Armstrong being detained following a disturbance at a Popeyes restaurant, though some members of the crypto community expressed doubts about the individual's identity.

This marks Armstrong's second arrest in recent months. In September 2023, he was taken into custody in Gwinnett County, Georgia, after a publicized confrontation with a former business partner over a Lamborghini. That incident, which Armstrong livestreamed on social media, resulted in charges of loitering/prowling and simple assault. Police reportedly discovered a firearm and illegal substances in his vehicle during that arrest.

Armstrong rose to prominence in the cryptocurrency space through his YouTube channel BitBoy Crypto, where he built a substantial following as a crypto influencer and content creator. His recent legal troubles have marked a dramatic shift from his earlier success in digital asset commentary.

Law enforcement officials have not yet disclosed the specific details surrounding the latest arrest or the exact nature of the alleged threatening communications.
