MANTRA, a layer 1 blockchain platform focused on tokenized real-world assets (RWAs), has unveiled RWAccelerator - a new startup accelerator program backed by Google Cloud. The initiative aims to empower builders and companies working on tokenizing assets like financial products, alternative investments, and real estate.
The three-month accelerator program will provide selected participants with funding, mentorship, AI capabilities, and technical resources. Startups can apply under three tracks: infrastructure, tokenization, and DeFi.
"This RWAccelerator will allow startups to reach new heights and contribute to the wider Web3 community," said John Patrick Mullin, CEO of MANTRA. The program comes at a pivotal time, as the World Economic Forum projects that blockchain networks will hold 10% of global GDP (approximately $10 trillion) by 2027.
Through the Google for Startups Cloud program, chosen projects will receive cloud credits, technical support, and exclusive workshops led by Google experts. Richard Widdman from Google Cloud noted, "We aim to create an environment where these startups can truly thrive, experiment, and push the boundaries of what's possible in the Web3 space."
The MANTRA team will provide comprehensive guidance on legal compliance, market making, listing processes, tokenomics, and smart contract development. The program launches following MANTRA's acquisition of a Virtual Asset Service Provider license from Dubai's Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority.
Applications for the first cohort are open until March 20, 2025, with selected participants to be announced by April 1. The program will commence with an in-person summit in Dubai. The second intake will begin accepting applications on March 20, 2025.
